Use a medium grind for whole beans, wet the grounds evenly and taste the cup at more than one temperature. If the result is hollow or sharply sour, grind finer. If it becomes dry or bitter, move coarser. Hold dose and water constant during the first adjustment, then change brew ratio only after extraction feels balanced. For immersion, try 30 grams to 500 grams with a medium-coarse grind and decant after about four minutes. Compare body and clarity across filtration methods while keeping beverage strength reasonably similar.Use a scale for dose and water. Beverage yield, drawdown and total contact time are diagnostic measurements rather than goals by themselves. Evaluate body, acidity, clarity and finish together, then make the smallest useful adjustment.Whole-bean customers can use a consistent grinder such as the Turin DF54 grinder for controlled adjustments. Prepared grounds work best when the supplied texture matches the brewer. How to choose and evaluate this coffeeChoose the drip option for the corresponding filter setup, the pour-over option for a compatible manual brewer, or the coarser French press selection for immersion. Whole beans offer more control when your brewer needs a setting between the prepared choices. The names describe grinding, not separate blend recipes.Prepared grinds offer convenience when the grind matches the intended method. Whole beans provide greater control over particle size and let the recipe respond to a different dripper, basket or batch volume.Fresh roasted coffee releases gas. Degassing can change bloom, drawdown and espresso flow over the life of the bag, so expect small grind corrections while keeping dose and beverage yield documented.Freshness, storage and repeatabilityTasting notes describe sensory impressions unless the listing explicitly identifies added flavor. They are not a complete ingredient, allergen or nutrition statement; consult current packaging when those details determine the purchase. For shared brewing, post the preferred dose and water weight beside the brewer. A repeatable baseline helps several people produce similar strength and makes feedback about acidity, body and finish more useful.Compare Kickoff Café Bonito Brazilian Single-Origin Coffee for another option from Evil Coffee.
