The Deadly Dick Casting Lures are versatile metal lures designed for surf casting, vertical jigging, drift fishing, and trolling in both freshwater and saltwater. Their streamlined profile provides excellent casting performance and produces a natural swimming action that can be adjusted by varying retrieve speed. When jigged on slack line, the lure develops a slow fluttering fall that closely resembles an injured baitfish, creating an easy target for feeding predators. Popular along the East Coast for striped bass, bluefish, and false albacore, Deadly Dick lures are equally effective for species including salmon, lake trout, pike, rockfish, lingcod, halibut, and tuna. The range of available sizes allows anglers to match local forage and fish everything from relatively shallow casting presentations to deep-water jigging. Larger Long models provide the weight needed to reach substantial depths, with the 5 oz #5 Long specifically designed for demanding deep-jigging applications.
