The Dean River Tiger is a simple light easy to cast marabou pattern for salmon and steelhead. It is un-weighted fly so it is fairly light to cast and can be swung into the shallows on a light sink tip with less of a concern for hanging up on the bottom. Before the new era of flies the Dean River Tiger was well ahead of its time. While most marabou patterns were just that, some marabou on a hook. The Tiger was adding flash and grizzly for extra movement and bam.
