Playa San Pancho. Mexico. When our toes first touched the sand of Playa San Pancho, we knew this place was special. The waves hit the shore differently somehow than it did in other places. Whales spurted fountains of water in the air, so close we could see them perfectly with the naked eye and baby turtles hatched in their nests before finding their way to the sea. Every night, practically the whole town meets on the beach for sunset- a beautiful community of people bidding farewell to the golden ball of fire making its way to wake up the other side of the world. So magical. We stood there with the town but we felt like this moment was so private and beautiful. And now, for a little while at least, we can call this beach home.
