About Decking Oil Our most cost-effective, high quality oil for exterior use on softwood decking and all large areas of softwood, including cedar cladding, fences, sheds etc. Bestwood Decking Oil is specially developed for use on softwood decking, to give superior weather protection and outstanding value for money. Our Decking Oil penetrates deep into wood, lining the tiny capillaries and replacing natural oils to protect from within, and help prevent water ingress, but it still allows the wood to 'breathe'. It has the following benefits: Dries clear, with a matt wet look. Keeps wood supple. Prolongs maintenance life and protects colour. Will not, flake peel or blister. Easy to apply. Adds protection against algae and fungi. Dirt resistant. Greatly reduces warping and splitting. Adds UV protection. Can be brushed sprayed or dipped. Works with pine, cedar, larch etc. Important: Decking Oil is made to penetrate into the wood, and is not suitable for wood that has already been sealed with paint or other coatings, or hardwood that is high in tannins or resin. Please note: Bestwood Decking Oil is not designed for use with high tannin or very resinous hardwoods, like oak, teak, iroko etc. For these woods we would recommend Bestwood Danish Oil UV or Bestwood Teak Wood Oil. Bestwood Decking Oil should not be used on previously painted waxed varnished or sealed wood, as it is made to penetrate deep into the wood and protect from within. Any existing coatings should be removed before applying Decking Oil and a trial area should be applied. Quality Packaging We use quality 'UN approved' containers for our Decking Oil.
