This stoneware decorative serving bowl is glazed inside and half glazed outside The herringbone pattern was hand scribed onto the raw stoneware clay body, unglazed except for the t op. It is inlaid with manganese dioxide which is why the lines appear black against the brown of the body. It was fired in my gas reduction kiln at home.
