Manufactured using AISI 316 type marine grade stainless steel, Dee Shackles are used for attaching shade sails to chains or points of attachment. This dee shackle features a pin that can be completely removed from the shackle and is available in cast or forged manufacturing styles. Cast manufacturing means that molten metal is poured into a mould in the shape of the dee shackle and left to cool while forged-made dee shackles are physically forced into the shape of the dee shackle. Forged shackles are generally tougher with a higher breaking load.
