Use this queen isolator cage to give you more control over your queen's location. It allows queen manipulation without the hassle of other caging methods. Build similarly to a queen excluder, this cage is made of bars spaced evenly enough to allow worker bees to travel through. It holds one deep 9-1/8" frame and fits inside a deep hive body. If the queen is inside the cage, she will work to fill the single frame with brood but won't be able to leave. If the queen is outside the cage, you can prevent her from laying eggs on the isolated frame.
