You'll decide what to eat, sell, mount, and how many regrets to bear as you progress towards an inevitable conclusion. Each turn begins with rolling special tackle dice to determine your strength. Choose whether to continue fishing or return to port for selling, supplies and rest. Examine shadows across 9 fish shoals at three depths, weighing potential catches against risks. As you flip fish and spend dice, watch for special abilities that affect gameplay. Collecting Regrets cards increases both madness and rewards, offering more dice and valuable fish—though the player with the most Regrets must forfeit their best mounted fish at game's end. Balance resources and strategy whilst managing mounting madness in this peculiar maritime adventure. SOLO MODE: Play as an ichthyologist cataloguing every fish species. Through multiple games, catch and document fish on your catalogue sheet. After each session, discard fish equal to collected regrets. Complete your catalogue to aid multiplayer games by revealing fish attributes, depths, values and difficulties.
