Our #2 Grade Deerskin Leather combines the natural softness and flexibility of deerskin with added body and strength at an excellent value. Featuring a semi-matte grain front with a soft sueded back, this heavier deerskin is well suited for moccasins, medicine bags, pouches, garment accents, regalia, beadwork, appliqué, trim, fringe, repairs, and leather accessories where a more substantial feel is desired. This current batch is thicker than our typical deerskin and has a firmer, slightly springy feel; as a #2 Grade hide, it may contain more visible natural character including grain or crease lines, surface cracks, scars, marks, uneven areas, holes, or irregular sections, making it a practical choice for makers who can plan their cuts around these areas.
