VPS mousse-like thixotropic; flows but will not run or sag Fast set; 30-second working time; 60-second intraoral set Shore A hardness 80; rigid accurate occlusal record Bite registration, transfers, and bite tray impressions Non-latex; unflavored; light blue; 6 mixing tips Quantity: 2 per Pack Mydent Defend Bite Registration Material, VPS, Fast Set, Unflavored, Light Blue is used for occlusal record registration, centric relation and maximum intercuspation bite recording, copying transfers, and primary impressions with bite trays in restorative, prosthodontic, and orthodontic dental practice where a vinyl polysiloxane bite registration material with fast set timing and mousse-like thixotropic consistency provides the combination of easy intraoral expression from the cartridge, resistance to flow or sagging out of the bite after application, and rapid rigid set that accurate occlusal record capture requires within a clinically manageable working time. Fast set formulation delivers a 30-second working time for cartridge expression and patient closure into the material followed by a 60-second intraoral set time to full rigidity, providing a total chairside bite registration time of approximately 90 seconds from material application to removal, supporting efficient restorative appointment sequencing without the extended patient bite-holding time that slower-setting materials require.Restorative dentists, prosthodontists, dental assistants, and orthodontists who capture occlusal records for crown and bridge, removable prosthetics, orthodontic appliance fabrication, and TMJ assessment find Mydent Defend Bite Registration Fast Set the practical, accurately performing, fast-turn VPS bite registration material for their active restorative impression workflow. ? Each pack contains 2 x 50mL cartridges of light blue Defend Bite Registration Material in the Fast Set unflavored formulation and 6 mixing tips, providing a complete per-pack bite registration supply for multiple patient appointments across the cartridge volume. Light blue color provides clear visual contrast against the tooth and gingival tissue surfaces in the bite record, facilitating trimming and evaluation of the set registration for void detection and occlusal contact area assessment. Unflavored formulation eliminates taste and flavor variables for patients who are sensitive to flavored impression materials, making this format appropriate for the full range of patient preferences without flavor accommodation at the impression step. ? Mydent Defend Bite Registration Fast Set works through its vinyl polysiloxane addition-curing chemistry that polymerizes through a platinum-catalyzed addition reaction producing no byproducts, delivering a dimensionally stable, non-shrinking bite registration with the rigid physical properties needed to maintain the exact interocclusal relationship captured at the moment of patient closure throughout handling, transport to the laboratory, and articulator mounting.Thixotropic rheology of the material means it flows under the shear stress of cartridge expression and patient tooth contact during closure, adapting to the occlusal surface anatomy and registering fine cusp tip and fossa detail, then immediately resists further flow when shear force is removed, staying in position on the occlusal surfaces without running onto adjacent soft tissues or sagging off the posterior teeth before the material sets to full rigidity. Shore A durometer hardness of 80 at set produces a rigid bite registration that resists deformation under the forces applied during model articulation, supporting accurate and repeatable articulator mounting across multiple uses of the same bite record. ? Restorative dentists capturing bite registrations for single-unit and multi-unit crown and bridge cases find the 30-second working time provides sufficient time for cartridge expression across the full posterior quadrant and patient guided closure before the material begins to resist movement, while the 60-second set time minimizes the patient bite-holding period before the record can be safely removed without distortion. Prosthodontists recording centric relation and vertical dimension positions for complete denture and implant-supported prosthetic cases find the rigid 80 durometer set provides the resistance to deformation during articulator mounting that accurate prosthetic record transfer requires. ? Mydent Defend Bite Registration Material, VPS, Fast Set, Unflavored, Light Blue gives dental practices a thixotropic vinyl polysiloxane bite registration material with 30-second working time, 60-second intraoral set, Shore A 80 rigid hardness, light blue color, and non-latex unflavored formulation in a 2 x 50mL cartridge pack with 6 mixing tips suited for bite registration, copying transfers, and primary impression applications across restorative, prosthodontic, and orthodontic procedures. For dental offices ordering bite registration material supplies for active restorative impression programs, Defend Bite Registration Fast Set delivers the VPS accuracy, thixotropic stability, and fast set performance that consistent occlusal record capture requires.
