Originally based in Vermont, Vermont Castings was purchased by a company called CFM (Canadian Fireplace Manufacturers). Because Vermont Castings changed ownership and moved production so many times, not to mention the thousands of replacement parts in their stoves – accessing the correct replacement part on a timely basis is not always easy.
