Deformed Bar Anchors – are low carbon-steel devices designed to increase holding power in concrete and maximize material strength in applications where substantial load supporting (shear tension) forces are present on embedments. The anchors are attached to steel via a drawn arc welding method. Unlike a weld stud, deformed bar anchors do not have a head and the bodies of the anchors are dimpled, similar to rebar. Material: Low carbon steel ASTM A496 Length: Length is before weld. Stud diameters (D) 1/2″ and below will be approximately 1/8″ shorter after welding. 5/8″ and larger will be approximately 3/16″ shorter after welding.
