Artist Reflections Roaming around the Hula Valley at sunrise is a very full sensory experience — the alternation of water and land, varied plant life, and the sounds of over 40,000 birds waking from the night. But like Elijah the prophet, who did not find the divine in the stone-shattering wind, or in the earthquake, or in the fire, but in the still, small voice that followed, I found my inspiration among all that abundance in the quiet, simple scene of three delicate sticks and their reflections on the surface of the water. These simple forms remind me to keep searching for the infinite beauty found in every piece of existence.
