Every petal on this ring I detailed by hand. The beaded border traced dot by dot along both edges. The whole surface worked slowly until the copper held every mark of the making. It's the most time-consuming ring I make. I've never been able to justify rushing it and I've never tried. I made it for fingers that have been keeping score, the joints that stiffen overnight and take their time waking up in the morning. The women who've worn this ring longest say their fingers stopped reminding them quite so often. Not all at once. Just gradually, the way real changes always come. Copper worn against a joint for thousands of years across every culture that ever worked with their hands. There's a reason it keeps coming back.
