Deltec FR Fluidised Reactors Hand built in Germany the Deltec FR (fluidised reactors) are a multipurpose unit for housing various chemical filter medias such as ROWAphos or carbon but can also be used for biological medias. Lightweight media that does not need to be fluidised such as carbon can be placed in a filter bag inside the reactor or loosely trapped between sponges or filter floss. Once established these filters are very effective and robust in their ability to remove nitrate from the water and can be operated in manual, semi-automatic and fully automatic modes with the addition of peristaltic pumps and a redox controller.
