The Den is a woven jacket with workwear inspired details and an optional lining. There are seam lines in the sleeve and bodice that allow for topstitching or colour blocking. The sleeve facing acts as a fold-up cuff. The centre front closure can be buttons or snaps. View A is an on-trend cropped jacket that finishes mid-rise. View B is a hip length jacket that finishes at the lower hips. Both views include front patch pockets and large in-seam pockets. Sewing level: Intermediate Suggested fabrics: This style is designed for medium to heavyweight woven fabrics but can also be sewn in a lightweight woven for an oversized shirt. Choosing a thicker fabric or lining will reduce the ease so you may want to size up. If using flannel or fleece for the body lining, a slippery lining is recommended for the sleeves. Main: Canvas, corduroy, denim, flannel, linen, twill. Bodice lining: Flannel, fleece, lawn, linen. Sleeve lining: Lawn, rayon bemberg, rayon challis. Fabric requirements: Minimum fabric required is listed. If you think you will need more for shrinkage, directional print, pattern matching or print repeat, please purchase accordingly. Main: 54″ (137 cm) wide fabric: 2 1/2 - 3 1/2 yd (2.3 - 3.2 m). Bodice lining: 54″ (137 cm) wide fabric: 1 - 2 yd (0.9 - 1.8 m). Sleeve lining: 44" (112 cm) wide fabric: 3/4 yd (0.7 m). Sizing: US 0 – 30 with A/B and C/D bust cup options. Please also check the designer’s size chart and finished garment measurements. This pattern includes two bust cup options, and the cup size is determined by calculating the difference between the high and full bust. If the difference between your high bust and full bust is between 0″ and 2″ (5 cm) use the A/B cup. If the difference is between 2″ (5 cm) and 4″ (10 cm) use the C/D cup. If you have more than a 4″ (10 cm) difference, you may need a full bust adjustment. Notions: 1 yd/m tricot fusible interfacing; seven to ten 1/2" (12.7 mm) buttons/snaps for the centre front.
