Centre the cushion in the plate ridge and mould it to the shape of the plate using both thumbs. Do not allow the cushion to extend above the front edge of the plate. If needed, trim any overlapping edges. Place the plate with the fitted cushion in the mouth and bite teeth together for 2–3 minutes. The cushion will soften and form to the individual plate shape.
