Brace tools are made from a special high carbon spring steel. The diameters are carefully chosen to be just under the size of the nearest standard plug sizes. In other words, you can use a BR24 which is .306’’ in a 5/16’’ hole with about 6 thousandths of a inch clearance. The brace tools are colour specific by right/left-handed tools. The 10 degree angle bend is well back to maximise reach and minimise high spots. The handle is rotated 12 degrees to improve ergonomics. For hail damage these are a must for every tech.
