According to a Harvard study, “Young adults in the US report twice the rates of anxiety and depression as teens.” Depression and other emotional issues have reached an all-time high, in terms of frequency and severity. Mental health specialists are sounding the alarm for all ages. As people experience significant increases in emotional challenges since COVID-19, leading to increases in suicides, author and educator Dr. Bill Stephens offers critical advice he found to be successful in his own struggle with depression. “To the extent that a person’s life has been affected by past actions or reactions, a therapist can be the one to help untangle these confusions within a person’s mind,” Bill suggests, “but the impact of negative spiritual forces is now being recognized as a key factor in depression and only a spiritual solution can impact our minds, hearts, and souls in such a way as to give us relief.” Using personal experience and key Bible passages on how to handle these issues, Bill provides needed instruction and direction to help anyone overcome the serious disease of depression.
