Der Greif Issue 15 is edited by fifty guest-artists who juxtapose their work with an image from the open call For Issue 15 – titled “The Collectivity Issue” – Der Greif reimagines the role of guest editing. Rather than inviting a single creative voice to curate the publication, we are thrilled to partner with 50 guest artists, each entrusted with guest-editing a single spread within the issue. Across each two-page spread, an invited artist juxtaposes one of their own works alongside an image chosen directly from our global open call. This unique format turns every page turn into a dual perspective: a direct, visual conversation between established practices and emerging voices. The issue reflects on today's understanding, experience, and critique of collectivity. How do we gather, share, collide, and coexist? What does solidarity, shared space, or collective memory look like today? The resulting issue becomes more than a magazine; it is a decentralized network of 50 distinct dialogues, a living experiment in shared authorship, visual resonance, and the power of coming together. The invited editors include, among others, Todd Hido, Laia Abril, Thomas Albdorf, Mårten Lange, Jessica Backhaus, Anna Ehrenstein, Max Siedentopf, Clare Strand, Eva Stenram, Andy Kassier, Charlie Engman and many more.
