Guest-edited by artist Torbjørn Rødland Der Greif Issue 17 "One Day Soon" confronts our current moment of rapid technological and cultural shift, asking: What is beyond the horizon? How can photography push forward beyond mere subjective recording or critical rejection to find a new, grounded mysticism? Drawing inspiration from the rise of generative AI and the imperative to evolve our visual culture, we called upon global image-makers and visual storytellers to respond to the question of what they are thirsty for now. Rødland has curated and sequenced a selection of these international submissions, assembling a profound visual record rooted in curiosity, criticality, and reverence. Together, these works ask: Can we pave the way for new perceptions and renewed realities?
