A Saguaro stands tall, bathed by Gold leaf rays that break through marbled skies, each hand-drawn with old techniques and new energy. This is not just a sunrise; it’s a resurrection. “Desert Ascension” is the first painting of my Necromancer Series, a collection born from stillness, strength, and a long season of healing and self-reclamation. It’s the first breath after a long silence. It’s me, an artist born of the desert, returning to the canvas with hands no longer reaching for perfection, but for purpose… ok and a little perfection, the Virgo in me can’t help it! After seasons of burnout, illness, and transformation, this piece marks the moment I reclaimed my light. I didn’t just paint this scene, I lived it. This first painting really means a lot to me.
