Incentive Create a desert scene using sponge printing. -Line-Shape-Space-Colour Supplies Art paper Paint Sponges cut in ovals of different sizes Cardboard strips Small paintbrush L esson 1 Put a small dab of orange paint at the bottom of the page, a yellow dab of paint in the middle of the page and a dark blue or purple dab of paint at the top of the page. Use cardboard strip to slide paint across the page and slightly blend paint until entire page is covered. Allow to dry. 2 Cover black sponges in black paint and dab onto desert background. Larger ovals towards the front of the page. For each cactus, add a few different sized limbs in different directions. Each cactus should have a different shape. 3 Use small cardboard strip dipped into black paint to make tiny lines around the outside of each cactus. These will represent the small spikes on a cactus. 4 Use small paint brush to add a few flowers on each cactus (in pink and blue). In centre of each flower place a small dab of yellow and spread outwards from the centre using the back point of the paintbrush. 5 Display on black or yellow. Show more
