Welcome to the new era of off-road performance. The Ducati Desmo450 MX is not just another 450cc motocross bike; it’s the definitive Italian entry into the dirt bike world, engineered with MotoGP DNA and exclusively available at your authorized Ducati Motocross dealership in Melbourne. Designed to dominate the track, this machine combines raw power, lightweight construction, and the most advanced electronics package in the class. Unmatched Power: The Desmo450 EngineThe heart of this new Ducati Motocross bike is the revolutionary Desmo450 single-cylinder engine featuring Ducati’s signature Desmodromic timing system. This unique mechanical solution allows the engine to reach a category-leading rev limit of 11,900 rpm, delivering maximum performance with the reliability Ducati is famous for. Max Power: An exceptional 63.5 hp at 9,400 rpm. Torque: Strong low-rev performance with 53.5 Nm of torque. Advantage: The high rev ceiling means less shifting and superior drive, especially crucial for securing the holeshot out of the gate. Engineered for Agility and ControlThe Desmo450 MX chassis is purpose-built to deliver maximum rider control. Its incredibly low 104.8kg wet weight (no fuel) makes it one of the lightest and most agile 450cc bikes available in Australia. Frame: Innovative aluminium perimeter frame comprising only 11 elements for optimal lightness, stiffness, and durability. Suspension: Top-tier Showa components, including a 49 mm USD front fork and mono-shock, offering full adjustability and massive travel (310 mm front / 301 mm rear). Braking: Confidence-inspiring stopping power from Brembo calipers paired with Galfer discs. Class-Leading Electronic Control SystemsLeveraging Ducati’s vast racing experience, the Desmo450 MX features advanced electronics previously unseen in this category: Customisable Riding Modes: Two standard modes plus the ability to create fully customised mappings. Ducati Traction Control (DTC): A sophisticated, inertial-based system that ensures linear and prompt intervention for maximum grip. X-Link App Connectivity: Use the dedicated app (optional accessory) to fine-tune throttle response, DTC, Engine Brake Control (EBC), and launch control settings directly from your phone.
