No-Poo Blue is a non-lathering toning cleanser from DevaCurl made for color-treated curly hair that's prone to brassiness. Instead of foaming like a traditional shampoo, it works more like a conditioner-cleanser hybrid: a violet-blue pigment in the formula helps counteract warm, brassy tones while cleansing the scalp and curls. The formula skips sulfates (no SLS or SLES) and silicones, relying instead on conditioning agents like behentrimonium chloride, cetrimonium chloride, and stearalkonium chloride along with fatty alcohols, glycerin, and panthenol to cleanse gently without stripping curls. DevaCurl markets the line as vegan, cruelty-free, and paraben-free. Because it doesn't produce a traditional lather, it can take some adjustment if you're used to foamy shampoo. And since the pigment is designed to tone down warmth, using it more often than recommended on very light or gray curls could shift color further than intended, so it's worth testing sparingly at first. Distribute evenly through wet curls and scrub into the scalp with fingertips Leave in 2-3 minutes for maximum toning Scrub out while rinsing thoroughly Follow with a rinse-out conditioner Use every 2-3 washes, alternating with a regular cleanser
