This color is chosen when you want a strong, saturated transparent blue that still transmits light, making it ideal for bold transparent layers, clean encasement effects, and building depth without losing brightness. It is commonly used for ocean and sky palettes, high-contrast transparent striping, and overlays that add rich blue color while keeping the design visually open and dimensional. How it is used: Preheat the rod gradually at the edge of the flame to reduce thermal shock, then heat to a smooth working glow and apply by winding onto a mandrel for beads or by gathering and shaping for small sculptural forms.
