This course is designed for individuals interested in enhancing their creative practice in ceramics. Participants will leave with a foundational understanding of inspiration and creativity, an appreciation for the creative process, and a clearer vision of their individual artistic journeys. This is a seminar/tutorial/theory based course. Practical work will then be followed up in regular sessions as a response to this. Session 1 - Wednesday July 30th all day York Visit Finding personal creative inspiration - York Ceramic Gallery Visit ( additional fees on day) Session 2 - Wednesday August 20th 1-3pm Identifying creative strengths and barriers and the Creative Process Session 3 - Wednesday September 17th 1-3pm Importance of Concept in your own Artistic Practice Session 4 - Wednesday October 8th 1-3pm Identifying and Developing a Personal Style in Ceramics Session 5 - Wednesday November 5th 1-3pm Creating a Cohesive Body of Work - Presentation and Reflection Session 6 - Saturday 22nd November 1-3pm Planning, curating and executing a selling exhibition to be held on Sunday 23rd November.
