Remove the backing sections during application, center the patch around the compatible sensor or guard, and smooth the adhesive outward onto clean, dry skin.How to Apply Your Dexcom G6 Overpatch Apply the Dexcom G6 according to the manufacturer's instructions. Make sure the surrounding skin is clean and completely dry. Position a compatible Freedom Guard™ if one is being used. Use the No-Touch 4-part backing to center the Freedom Overpatch™ around the transmitter or compatible guard. Smooth the adhesive outward and press around the patch to establish contact with the skin. For best adhesion, allow the patch time to establish contact before bathing, swimming or heavy activity whenever practical.
