A signature piece, that combines sustainable luxury and intricate craftsmanship in a compact, dimensional work of art. Each piece begins with an up-cycled designer box or shopping bag, which is carefully trimmed, collage, and directly embroidered, stitching through the original packaging itself to preserve its authenticity and texture. Once the embroidered background is complete, it’s padded and mounted to create a sculptural base. Individually hand-trimmed butterflies, also fully embroidered in-house, are delicately affixed in raised relief, giving the artwork its signature depth and movement. The one-of-a-kind Stephen Wilson artwork comes framed in acrylic, and each piece is signed, dated, and numbered by the artist, ensuring its authenticity as a Stephen Wilson Studio original. Due to the unique nature of these creations, slight variations in color shades and patterns will occur with each piece, adding to the distinctiveness of the art piece.
