In these paper collages, Gayle Harismowich was inspired by the work of Spanish sculptor and painter, Eduardo Chillida. His architectural training was evident in the use of the soli d versus the void. The underlying structural organization is so very pleasing. Gayle has elevated her pieces by cutting out the white on white shapes and using a layered double torn edge for depth.
