Broccoli, Di Cicco(Brassica oleracea var. italica) Di Cicco Broccoli is a classic Italian heirloom known for its early maturity and abundant side shoots. Rather than producing one large central head, this variety forms a modest main head followed by numerous tender side shoots that extend the harvest for weeks. Reliable and flavorful, Di Cicco has been a favorite in home gardens for generations. Key Characteristics Continuous Side Shoot ProductionAfter harvesting the central head, plants produce many smaller shoots along the stem. These tender florets allow for repeated harvests over a long period, making Di Cicco ideal for gardeners who prefer ongoing harvest rather than a single large crop.
