DIALOGUING is a specific three-part technique of writing for discovery, problem-solving and insight, the basics of which were developed by the late Dr. Ira Progoff, with whom Crescent studied in 1976. Powerful, effective, and surprising, Dialoguing is one of CD’s lifelong techniques for self-understanding, generating breakthrough and creative insight. She has used her simplified version of this three-part writing form — the one she learned from Progoff ever since: for fifty years now, at intervals when she needs it. It is one of her main go-tos when she is stuck creatively or personally, and it has served this same purpose for most of those to whom she’s taught it. She shares it with others, sometimes as a stand-alone 3-hour class and sometimes as part of one of her longer courses, such as Fearless Writing™.
