Breaking free from the constraints of the traditional square canvas, 'Diamond Formation' takes on a striking five-sided form, challenging conventional composition. Vertical peach lines create a rhythmic balance, subtly offset by a bold hot pink border that energizes the piece. Part of my |Contained| series, this work explores the theme of women being confined, both physically and metaphorically. Here, the female figure is contained within the boundaries of the canvas (or in this case, plywood), prompting reflection on space, structure, and autonomy. The artwork captures a crouched figure in muted tones, evoking a sense of quiet introspection. A compelling statement piece, it plays with shape, color, and perspective to reimagine the limits of traditional portraiture.
