Using the coarse grit, lightly grind the entire bevelled edge of the blade. Maintain the original angle, remove all nicks and dents. Do not sharpen the flat side of a secateur blade. Sharpening the flat side will cause a gap between the blade and the anvil, reducing the quality of subsequent cuts.2. Hone the bevelled edge with the fine grit until desired sharpness is obtained.3.
