Self-Leveling LAP Sealant Dicor’s HAPS Free Self-Levelling LAP Sealant creates a secure, secondary seal along the roof’s edges, air vents, vent pipes and screw heads. It is compatible with EPDM, TPO and PVC membranes and adheres firmly to aluminium, mortar, wood, vinyl, galvanised metal, fibreglass and concrete. Ideally suited for aftermarket use, the lap sealant is one of the products in the highest volume sold in RV stores today. Lap sealant is UV stabilised to prevent deterioration and discolouration. It will not stain or discolour any roofing material to which it is applied. The lap sealant is available in a HAPS-free formula that meets the demanding industry requirements while providing a cleaner and safer work environment. Plus, the sealant allows continuous sealing yet remains flexible. Directions for Use:Clean the surface of all dirt, loose paint, rust, oil, and grease. Allow the surface to dry before applying sealant. Use standard caulking equipment to apply sealant. In cold weather, warm the container at room temperature before use. Approximate Lap Sealant Cure Times: (approximate times for 10°-21° C) 5 Minutes – Skins over4 Hours – Waterproof48 Hours – Cure 80%30 Days – 100% Cure Caution: Keep away from heat, sparks, and flame. To avoid breathing vapours, open windows and doors or use other means to ensure fresh air entry during application and drying. If you experience eye watering, headaches, or dizziness, increase fresh air, wear respiratory protection (NIOSH/MSHA TC23C or equivalent), or leave the area. It causes nose, throat, eye, and skin irritation. Spills: Keep the container closed when not in use. In case of spillage, absorb the liquid with inert material and dispose of it in accordance with applicable regulations. In Case of Fire, Use water spray, foam, dry chemicals, or carbon dioxide. Do not use a solid stream of water because it can scatter and spread the fire. Vapours are heavier than air and may travel along the ground to distant ignition sources and flash back. First Aid: If swallowed, do not induce vomiting. Call a physician immediately. If inhaled, remove to fresh air. If not breathing, give artificial respiration. If breathing is difficult, give oxygen. Glasses or goggles are recommended. In case of eye contact, immediately flush the eyes with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes. Chemically resistant gloves are recommended. In case of skin contact, thoroughly wash the affected area with soap and water.
