The dielectric support is used to freely position metal needles connected to high voltage inside the electrospinning chamber. Needles are fastened to the scrolling and rotating cursor along the vertical bar. FREELY POSITION YOUR NEEDLES INSIDE THE ELECTROSPINNING CHAMBER The support is composed of a base and a black PVC cursor joined by a rigid, vertical, cylindrical bar in glass-fiber-reinforced composite material. The cursor can scroll and rotate along the vertical bar. The needles — either two sealed coaxial needles (two or three layers) or a single modular coaxial needle — are fastened to the cursor. A version supporting up to two metal needles with Luer connector is also available. All needles installed on the dielectric support must be connected to their syringes by flexible tubes. LOOKING FOR A COMPLETE SET? In our Modular Coaxial Needle Kit, every concentric needle is independent, so it can be equipped with a different diameter and supplied with solutions of different materials through standard Luer Lock connections. Two standard versions of the Sealed Coaxial Needle Kit are also available, with two or three concentric layers, customizable upon request. DIELECTRIC SUPPORT SIZE Base dimensions (L x W x T): 100 x 75 x 15 mm Vertical support stroke: 200 mm Vertical rod diameter: 10 mm Download Datasheet FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS Why do I need a dielectric support instead of a metal one? The needles carry high voltage (up to 60 kV): a dielectric structure avoids field distortion and discharge paths, keeping the electric field symmetric around the needle tip for stable Taylor cone formation. Is it included in the coaxial needle kits? Yes, one dielectric support is included in both the 2-layer and 3-layer Modular Coaxial Needle Kit. Buy it separately for additional needle positions or multi-needle setups.
