The gears are driven by the flow of the media and “mesh” together. In the presence of flow, exact known defined volumes of fluid are swept through the meter per each rotor rotation. As flow increases, so does the rotational speed of the Rotors. The number of revolutions is a precise highly accurate measure of the fluid that has passed through the meter. Regardless of viscosity, pressure, or temperature. Each “active” Rotor rotation creates a pulse and is detected by a sensor.
