It features a color display and is capable of displaying more data for more testing options than the previous version. The sample dish is made of aluminum, which massively increases temperature conductivity, allowing for an incredibly stable measurement. The R2 is water-resistant (IP67) and its calibrated 2D CMOS imaging sensor reduces the risk of misalignment and fragility, while increasing data collection and eliminating the need for a cap. The light-weight and super portable refractometer features several modes, e.g. standard testing, multi-testing (perform a number of tests and let the R2 calculate an average) or stable testing (test based on temperature change, show a result once temperature is stable). A micro calibration layer compensates for external disturbance and physical deformations, such as temperature changes or undissolved particles, thereby greatly improving accuracy and stability. DiFluid offers a great app that can be used to calculate the extraction yield based on the measured TDS. The app will recognize your R2 and read the measurement automatically.
