These are instructions for a DIY easel I designed. I was tired of flimsy and backward leaning easels that were cheaply made. I decided to design my own inexpensive easel, but with the features I believe promote good painting. The easel materials cost about the same total amount as a $100-$140 easel found online, and you will have to build it yourself, however the results will be much more sturdy and position painters more effectively and comfortably.
