This plane till is designed to store and organize a range of hand planes while keeping them protected and easy to access in the shop. The angled upper section holds bench planes individually in vertical slots, preventing them from contacting one another and making it easy to grab the tool you need. The lower cubbies provide additional storage for specialty planes and accessories such as a router plane. The build shown uses cherry for the case with maple panels for contrast, but the design can easily be adapted using pine or plywood to reduce cost. The layout of the slots is flexible, allowing you to customize the till to fit the number and types of planes in your collection. Please refer to the Youtube build video as well.
