The Ricochet gets to the same effect through a momentary footswitch instead of a treadle, which drops it into a compact enclosure roughly the size of any other pedal on the board.What replaces the foot movement is the Ballistics control, which sets rise and fall times independently. A slow rise and fast fall behaves nothing like a fast rise and slow fall, and that pair of settings is where most of the character lives. Hold the switch and the pitch travels at the rise rate, release it and it returns at the fall rate.Seven pitch intervals are on offer with a Range toggle for up or down, and a latching mode holds the shifted pitch in place rather than returning it, so the pedal also works as a straightforward transposer. A slow rise with a fast fall produces a gradual climb and a snap back. Reverse it and the pedal falls away slowly after an instant jump.
