It's not the same as RailCom but serves a similar role. Does this drive a motor?No — the TL1 is a function-only decoder. It controls ONE output (typically a light or accessory). For motor control you need a full mobile decoder like the Digitrax DH126MT, DZ126, or any other mobile decoder. What can I wire to the function output?LEDs (with appropriate resistor), incandescent bulbs, smoke units, sound modules, ditch lights, mars lights, or any DC-powered accessory drawing under 1A continuous. FX3 effects let you simulate prototypical lighting patterns. Will it work with any DCC system?Yes — the TL1 follows NMRA DCC standards and runs on any DCC command station.
