Always use coasters, trivets and placemats for hot or wet items, felt pads under objects, and lift rather than drag items to prevent scratches and dents. Keep the table out of prolonged direct sunlight and away from heat sources. For minor surface wear, gently clean and, if needed, lightly scuff with 220–320 grit sandpaper before recoating with a compatible polyurethane (match water- vs. oil-based).
