Only found in a few remote locations, Dioptase is a rare and stunning turquoise to emerald green crystal. It is a vibrant stone that is composed of hydrated copper silicate and oft en found near copper deposits. Dioptase is derived from the Greek words 'di' and 'optasia', meaning two appearances, given its pleochroic nature.
