The dessert inspiration for this bar couldn't be simpler, meltier or more indulgent. After all, what's more delightful than dipping a big juicy strawberry into rich, creamy milk ch ocolate on a summer's evening? This bar was designed to both celebrate and entice the feminine in all of us. The wonderful thing about dehydrating a strawberry is that it becomes packed with flavour (not like an artificial strawberry), but like the best wild strawberry you'd find as a rare treat in a select few summer weeks. Dehydration preserves that intensity naturally, so you get it year-round, not just in season. We're so proud to celebrate women with this chocolate. Our Femmes de Virunga 55% is the result of years spent training the farming women of Eastern Congo until they became masters of growing, fermenting and drying rare Amelonado cacao — cacao that carries the same strength as the women lifting up their communities around Virunga Park. On the ground since 2008, these women, the "Femmes", rebuild their communities from the rubble of war, and every purchase helps empower these female leaders for peace. Show more
