My grandfather was stolenas a child and placed in the care of a foster family. This piece isbased on a photo I found of him the 60s with his ‘siblings’. In thephoto they are sitting on the bonnet of a ford next to each other.There is a clear gap between my grandfather and the other kids.Relating this to NAIDOC which is celebrating 50 years we stillhave a long journey ahead of us before First Nations peoples andcultures can be truly healed and embraced.
