Discover! Science 2 Why do objects move? What is everything made of? How does the human body work? And what can the solar system teach us about our place in the universe? Discover! Science 2 helps second graders investigate these questions through engaging lessons, hands-on activities, and real-world connections. This full-year homeschool curriculum explores the properties of matter, forces and motion, the solar system, Earth's changing landscapes, natural resources, plant and animal habitats, and the human body. Through colorful student worktexts, your child will read, observe, experiment, discuss, and apply new concepts in ways that encourage both understanding and curiosity. The accompanying Instructor Guide provides lesson support, answer keys, assessments, pacing suggestions, and additional teaching ideas. Together, the worktexts and guide create an open-and-go program that is easy to implement while still providing meaningful science instruction. Interactive activities throughout the course reinforce concepts and accommodate a variety of learning styles. As your child works through the lessons, he'll strengthen observation, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills while building a solid foundation in life, Earth, and physical science. Designed specifically for homeschool families, Discover! Science 2 combines clear instruction, hands-on learning, and thoughtful review to help your child develop both scientific knowledge and the habits of mind that support lifelong learning.
