Discovery is a framed original acrylic painting by Nick Purser.Discovery is similar to the large painting ‘Meteor’ in that it’s a story about finding something not of this earth. S omething ultra smooth like silk or glass but impenetrable. Maybe there’s a code which can move it — or maybe it’s just the tip of a structure vastly bigger under the sands. I think I had just watched Dune when I painted this!Overall framed dimensions: 64 x 64cms, 3.2cms in depth. The frame is an elegant antique gold ‘floating’ frame with a 5mm space between the canvas and frame edge. Canvas dimensions: 61cms x 61cms, 1.8cms in depth. Stretched 380g canvas.
