Suspended from the chain, the quartz sphere references the divination pendulum, traditionally used as a tool for inquiry, focus, and intuitive guidance. In antique jewellery quartz spheres were known as Pools of Light, said to hold trapped spirits and serve as windows into the past, present and future. Handmade in Nipaluna / Hobart, Lutruwita / Tasmania, the Divination Orb Necklace is made from solid Sterling Silver and natural clear quartz. The quartz sphere is held in a sterling silver cap and bail, allowing the orb to remain visible from multiple angles. Its clear surface gathers light and reflection, making the optical properties of the quartz central to the design.
